Paterson Officer Takes Deal In Off-Duty DWI Crash In Clifton, Could Have Record Wiped Clean
UPDATE: A Paterson police officer from Garfield who was drunk when he caused an off-duty chain-reaction crash that injured another motorist in Clifton took a deal from prosecutors rather than risk a trial, authorities announced. Goldinsky claimed to have developed several neurological impairments following the staged incident — but the ailments were disproven by a neurologist, who stated that they were "mainly psychoge…

Investigators Probe Crash Involving Disgraced Former Elmwood Park Mayor, Police Car
The Bergen County Sheriff’s Office was investigating a weekend crash involving former Elmwood Park Mayor Frank Caramagna and a borough police vehicle, Daily Voice has learned. Investigators were examining the contention that Caramagna, who resigned after being arrested on voter fraud charges earlier this year, made an illegal U-turn on Market Street, causing Sunday’s accident, authorities confirmed. Both Caramagna, 74, and a borough officer were briefly hospitalized with injuries that weren’t considered life-threatening after the police car rammed the former mayor’s vehicle on the passenger…
