Three People Found Dead Hours Apart In Newark
Three people were found dead in Newark on Monday, Aug. 29, according to police and news outlets. Police were called to the scene of a "sick or injured person" around 9:20 a.m., at Montclair Avenue and Broadway, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Then, around 4:20 p.m., a man was found lying on the sidewalk near a bodega at South Orange Avenue and Munn, RLS Media reports. Missing NY Woman Found Dead, Police Say
A missing Hudson Valley, NY woman who police have spent hundreds of hours searching for has been found dead in a wooded area, authorities said. Orange County resident, Brittany Hendershot, 19, of Port Jervis, has been missing since Thursday, June 23, but was officially reported missing to police on Tuesday, July 5 by her mother. Two Stabbed In Hackensack
UPDATE: Two young men who were stabbed in Hackensack have already been released from the hospital as police search for their assailant. Both victims -- one 22, the other 21 -- know the man who stabbed them at a cluster of high-rises on Overlook Avenue at Beech Street around 9:30 p.m. Monday, Detective Capt. Michael Antista said. Both were treated around the corner at Hackensack University Medical Center before being released, Antista said Tuesday morning. A Nigerian man drowned in the Hudson River after falling off a docking boat, authorities said. The boat had made it into the Englewood Marina at the foot of the Palisades in Englewood Cliffs just north of the George Washington Bridge when he fell off shortly after 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Lt. Missing Boy Found Dead In NJ Lake
The body of a 4-year-old boy reported missing was found submerged in the bottom of a New Jersey lake Thursday, July 14, authorities said. Police were called to Overlook Avenue near John A. Roebling Memorial Park in Hamilton Township on reports of a missing child around 5 p.m., approximately 40 minutes after he'd last been seen, local police said.
