Picatinny Arsenal Fire Station Closes Indefinitely Due To Overtime Concerns One of Picatinny Arsenal’s fire stations has been shut down indefinitely as a result of concerns regarding overtime pay, authorities confirmed. Station 2 Local F-169 was shuttered Tuesday by Picatinny Arsenal Lieutenant Col. Adam Woytowich, the company said in a Facebook post. “Response time and the safety of our military community and mutual aid partners are in jeopardy,” the post says. Born in Morristown, Garry graduated from West Morris Mendham High School in 2017, his obituary says. Garry went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Rutgers University in May 2021 with a degree in computer science and statistics. Garry was a dedicated Eagle Scout with Troop 236 in Long Valley, where he lived at the time of his death, his memorial says. Almer Jr. died Jan. 11 at at St. Luke’s Hospital in Phillipsburg. He was 85. Born in Newton, Almer worked for the government at Picatinny Arsenal before becoming a teacher at Independence Central School in Great Meadows, his obituary says. Almer had a passion for law enforcement and had retired as a Sergeant for the Mansfield Township Police Department, his obit says.
