Paul Errol Galvez, a longtime Sparta resident, died on Tuesday, May 14, at the age of 50, according to his obituary on the Goble Funeral Home site.
"EG" as he was known to his family, was the eldest of three children and grew up in the Philippines, his obituary reads. Growing up, he enjoyed reading, playing video games and reading comic books, along with weekly visits with his grandparents, according to his obituary.

NBC New York Reporter Katherine Creag Dies Suddenly At 47
A popular NBC New York reporter has died at age 47, the station announced.
Katherine Creag, who was working as recently as Wednesday, Feb. 10, died unexpectedly later that night from unknown causes.
“For 10 years Kat was one of our cornerstones, always willing to help in any situation, whether it was a colleague in need of a shift that needed to be covered,” WNBC’s Vice President of news, Amy Morris, said in an email to the staff this week.
“She was thoughtful, funny, and relentless. And even on the toughest days, she was a bright light, quick with a kind word and a smile.”

Feds: Somerset Man, 44, Flew To Philippines For Online-Planned Sex With Minors
A Somerset County man flew to the Philipines several times to have sex with four underage victims after arranging meetings online, said federal authorities who arrested him.
James A. Diggs, 44, of Somerville, had his first appearance Wednesday before a U.S. magistrate judge on charges of online enticement of a minor to engage in sexual activity and foreign travel to engage in criminal sexual activity, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito said.
