Warren County Tractor-Trailer Crash Causes Large Fuel Spill, Closes Rt. 31 For Hours: Police
A crash involving a tractor-trailer and a Nissan caused a fuel spill that left Route 31 in Warren County closed for hours on Wednesday morning, Dec. 20, police said. It happened around 4:35 a.m., Washington Township Police Chief Christopher M. Jones said. A 46-year-old Belvidere man was driving a Nissan Rouge next to a 25-year-old Hackettstown man driving a tractor-trailer southbound on Route 31 in Oxford Township when the tractor-trailer “lost control, slid and pushed the Nissan off the road,” Jones said. Fire crews rushed to douse a Warren County home that went up in flames before dawn Tuesday. The blaze broke out in the chimney of a home on the first block of Oak Ridge Road in Washington Township around 12:20 a.m., police said in a news release. All occupants had safely escaped the home as officers arrived, police said. No injuries were reported. The fire remains under investigation. Additional details were not released. Man, 80, Airlifted With Serious Injuries Following Warren County Crash
An 80-year-old Belvidere man was airlifted with serious injuries following a Thursday morning crash in Warren County, authorities said. The man was driving a 1998 Nissan east bound on Jensen Drive in Oxford and failed to yield to a 2011 Toyota traveling north on Mt. Pisgah Avenue, causing a collision just before 11:50 a.m., Washington Township police said. The man was airlifted via Atlantic Air 1 to Morristown Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries, police said. Police: Warren County Woman Hospitalized After Swerving Off Route 31, Crashing Into Tree
A Warren County woman was hospitalized after she swerved off Route 31 in Warren County and slammed into a tree Tuesday morning, authorities said. Denise Drukker, 55, of Liberty Township, was driving a 2018 brown Dodge Ram 150 pickup truck in the left lane of Route 31 south in Oxford Township when she swerved into the right lane, up an embankment and into a tree just before 10:40 a.m., Washington Township Police Lt.
