New Immigrant Dies In Fall From Roof At Abandoned NJ Hospital
A worker at an abandoned New Jersey psychiatric hospital fell to his death on Wednesday, authorities said. Cristian Velez-Hurtado, 33, of Paterson had been working on the roof of Marlboro State Hospital on Springs Road (Monmouth County location) when he fell inside the building around 9:30 a.m., NJSP Sgt. Lawrence Peele said. The incident was deemed accidental in nature and remains under investigation. According to his Facebook profile, Velez-Hurtado is from Loja, Ecuador. Sussex County Tractor-Trailer Crash Shuts Down Route 206
A car slammed into the back of a tractor-trailer Thursday morning, causing a nearly 2-hour shutdown of Route 206 southbound in Sussex County, state police said. The driver of a Subaru Impreza slammed into the back of the truck near milepost 128.7 in Montague around 5:20 a.m., NJSP Sgt. Lawrence Peele told Daily Voice. The road was reopened around 7:10 a.m., Peele said. No serious injuries were reported in the crash, which remained under investigation.

State Police: Driver Injured In Route 80 Tractor-Trailer Hit-And-Run
The driver of a tractor-trailer fled after hitting a sedan on Route 80 eastbound in Morris County Sunday night, state police said. The driver of a Honda Accord was struck by a tractor-trailer near milepost 39.2 in Denville just before 8:30 p.m., NJSP Sgt. Lawrence Peele told Daily Voice. The Honda driver was sent to St. Claire’s Hospital in Denville with non-life-threatening injuries, Peele said. The crash remains under investigation. It was unclear if that tractor-trailer driver had been charged.
