2 Extricated From Crumpled Car, Taken To Trauma Center In Deadly Lehigh Valley Crash (Photos) Two victims were extricated from a crumpled car and taken to a nearby trauma center following a deadly Tuesday afternoon crash in the Lehigh Valley, authorities said. Emergency crews responding to the crash on Freemansburg Avenue near Linden Street in Bethlehem Township found a vehicle that had slammed into a wall and telephone pole shortly before 12 p.m., the Nancy Run Fire Company said. Crew members used hydraulic tools to safely remove the pair of victims from the crumpled vehicle. Both were removed in about 20 minutes before being taken to a local trauma center, the fire company said.…

Nancy Run and Bethlehem Township volunteer fire crews found a fully-involved dryer fire and activated sprinkler as they arrived at Country Meadows Nursing and Rehab on Green Pond Road in Bethlehem around 4:45 a.m., NRFC said. The blaze broke out at a home on Oakside Circle in Hanover Township around 10:30 a.m., according to the local volunteer fire company. The bulk of the fire came from the back of the home, prompting the setup of a second water line through the front door, the company said. Crews responding to a previous crash on Route 33 were called to the report of a UPS box truck into a Northampton County home on Dec. 18, the Nancy Run Fire Company said. RE1413, E1712, and Chief 17 arrived at the scene and worked to support the damaged areas of the home’s garage until a contractor arrived to stabilize the structure, the department said.
