A 29-year-old Hackettstown man was arrested and charged on Halloween night for driving under the influence in Mt. Olive, authorities said. At 8:16 p.m., officers observed a Tesla pickup stopped at the intersection of Rt. 46 and Naughright road past the stop line into the intersection, Mount Olive police. The Tesla, driven by Todd Morici, was in the left lane of travel with its right turn signal activated, police said. An 18-year-old Hackettstown woman stole thousands from the Cadillac dealership she worked at in Mt. Olive, authorities said. In May, officers responded to Johnson Dodge on Route 46 on a report of fraud, Mt. Olive police said in a release.. The owner of the dealership said Leigha Conklin-Arnott had endorsed and cashed a check to herself in the amount of $165.00, while she worked at Johnson Cadillac, police said. Suspected Robber Captured After Trying To Flee On Foot In Morris County, Police Say
A 20-year-old Budd Lake man was arrested and charged after he robbed a man and then later fled on foot on the evening of Wednesday, June 12, authorities said. At 9:15 p.m., officers responded to Eagle Rock Village on a report of a man who had been robbed by a person wearing all black with a black ski mask who had a pointed object in his hand, Mt. Dogs Freeze In Crate Abandoned Outside Of Morris County Shopping Center: Authorities
Two pit bulls were found outside in a crate behind a shopping center in freezing temperatures in Mt. Olive on Sunday, Jan. 21, Common Sense for Animals said on Facebook. The two dogs, one female and one male, were found on Goldmine Road and Tanglewood Road with a blanket over the crate so no one would see the dogs, Common Sense for Animals Said. A Jan. 19 fire that ravaged LongHorn Steakhouse in Flanders doesn’t appear suspicious but has an undetermined cause, Acting Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll said. The fire broke out at the Flanders location on International Drive South around 12 a.m., according to Byram Township fire officials.
