Police ID Missing Fisherman Found Dead In NJ Lake Police have identified the fisherman who went missing and was later found dead in a New Jersey lake. Valeri Malov, of Pine Brook, had gone fishing in the body of water behind an industrial complex on Chapin Road Saturday morning, Aug. 24, Montville Police Chief Andrew Caggiano said. Responding officers found his fishing equipment on the shoreline and began a search of the area.  Malov's body was found the following day around 8:50 p.m. in the water, and he was pronounced dead at the scene, Caggiano said. Tree Worker Electrocuted By Power Line In Morris County: Police A tree worker was killed after coming in contact with a power line in Morris County on the afternoon of Thursday, April 4, police said. The worker was at 95 Taylortown Road in Montville when he came in contact with the line around  3:50 p.m., Montville Police Chief Andrew Caggiano said. The Montville Fire Department, Morris County EMS, and Jersey Central Power and Light responded to the scene, Caggiano said. The Montville Police Department dispatched the Montville Fire Department and the First Aid Squad to Pyramid Mountain after receiving a report of the lost hiker shortly before 1 p.m., authorities said. Rescuers found the hiker “deep in the woods” and stabilized injuries before exiting the area and taking a boat across the Boonton Reservoir, Montville Township police said. A trooper tried to stop the Jeep Cherokee for a traffic violation on northbound Route 287 in Boonton Township shortly after 11 a.m. Sunday, Marchan said.
