The Pemberton Police Department is mourning the loss of one of its own. The department announced the death of Patrolman Brian Lucykanish on Friday, Feb. 2. Support is on the rise for the family of beloved Sussex County father John A. Anthony, who lost his battle with COVID-19 on Christmas Eve at the age of 46. Born in Jersey City, Anthony lived in Bayonne before moving to Lyndhurst and settling in Sussex in 2017, his obituary and Facebook pages say. Known for his charisma and positivity, the Hopatcong dad is a volunteer coach for the Warriors, the high school football team and previously a local basketball team and HERO Boys Run Club. Community Mourns Newton Teen Alexis Faye Killed In Crash
White ribbons for her favorite color were tied on mailboxes, trees and lamp posts over the weekend in Newton honoring Alexis "Lexi" Faye. The 17-year-old Newton High School student was killed in a rollover accident Saturday in Fredon, a day after her school's prom. Two other teens including the driver were seriously injured in the crash and flown via helicopter to Morristown Medical Center. Dozens had signed up to contribute to a meal train for the family.
