Prominent Morris County Photographer, Nature-Lover Jill Homcy Dies, 54
Jill Marie Homcy of Lincoln Park, a nature-lover who founded a massive Facebook page dedicated to wildlife, died on Sept. 30. She was 54.
Born in Passaic, Homcy was a Montclair State graduate known for her love of art and nature, her obituary says. She worked as a Production Manager for Strategic Content Imaging, a digital printing company in Secaucus, for 13 years.
Homcy was also known for creating and running a Facebook group called NJ Nature and Wildlife, which had more than 10,000 members to date.

DWI Motorcyclist, 28, Leads Police On Pursuit Through Passaic, Morris Counties
A Morris County motorcyclist had been drinking when he led officers on a pursuit through three different towns, authorities said.
Lincoln Park Police responded to the area of Valley Road on reports of of an erratic motorcycle driver May 1 around 10:30 p.m., authorities said.
The motorcyclist -- later identified as Elliot Montalvo, 28, of Towaco -- was located on Pinebrook Road, where police said he ran a stop sign, prompting them to pull him over.
The man didn't stop, though, and officers pursued him through Lincoln Park to Montville, back to Lincoln Park and finally to Wayne.

No Pets Inside, No Injuries Reported In Fire At Animal Hospital In Fairfield
No pets were in the Animal Hospital of Fairifeld when a destructive fire broke out Saturday night, responders said.
Staff made it out before the three-alarm blaze tore through the Fairfield Road building, which isn't a boarding facility.
The fire broke out shortly after 9 p.m. and immediately went to two alarms, the Fairfield Volunteer Fire Department said.
Flames blew through the roof as firefighters conducted a "surround and drown," the department said.
The scene was cleared at 11:50 p.m.

Lineman Electrocuted In Warwick Was North Arlington Native
A 51-year-old North Arlington native was one of two linemen electrocuted Monday while on a job in Warwick, N.Y., authorities confirmed.
Derrick Paris, a father of two who lived in West Caldwell, was on an assignment with E-J Electric for Orange & Rockland Utilities when he and co-worker Justin McLoughlin, 28, of Trenton, Ga., were killed.
Both Paris and his partner were veterans with decades of experience between them, authorities said.

A winning New Jersey Lottery ticket was sold in Lincoln Park.
The Mega Millions ticket from Tuesday's drawing was sold at Wolfson's Market on Boonton Turnpike and wins the $10,000 prize.
The winning numbers were: 03, 25, 37, 40 and 55. The Gold Mega Ball was 13, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 02.
