A Long Island man who was gunned down at an apartment complex in New Milford last month is being laid to rest this coming weekend as the hunt for his killer continued. Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella identified the victim shot in the head in the rear of the Bookchester Apartments in the 900 block of Boulevard on Nov. 26 as Jacques McDonald, 25, of Amityville. A 34-year-old Paterson man was shot and killed steps from a city church early Sunday. The victim was brought via private vehicle to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after the 8 a.m. shooting, Dec. 4, on Jelsma Place near the Greater Bethel Church of Christ. Relatives of Martin Sanchez, a 41-year-old inmate and Newark native who was beaten to death in a New Jersey State Prison, called him a family man. A 36-year-old man from Middletown was struck by a car multiple times and killed after an argument in a parking lot, authorities said. Jason Freeman was killed in the incident at 5:05 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Acting Chief Donald Fritz, Jr., of the Old Bridge Police Department. Police ID Skeletal Remains In Lehigh Valley As 'Kunkletown Killer'
Police have identified the skeletal remains found by hunters in the Lehigh Valley as belonging to a convicted killer. Northampton County Coroner Zachary Lysek said the bones were those of William S. Edelman, Jr., a 65-year-old who most recently lived in Catasauqua. The remains were located just before 4:30 p.m. Monday in a secluded portion of the Appalachian Trail in Moore Township, the coroner said. A 44-year-old Roselle man was shot and killed in broad daylight over the weekend in Rahway, authorities said. A 23-year-old Bergen County man was gunned down in Jersey City, authorities said. Jovahn Horne, of Tenafly, was found a gunshot wound to the abdomen at 74 Dales Ave., around 9:05 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Authorities have identified the 32-year-old man slain at a Pennsylvania bar over the weekend as former NFL cornerback Antonio Dennard.
