Teen Driver Seriously Injured When Car Slams Into Tree On Route 287: Njsp An 18-year-old from Rhode Island was seriously injured after his car crashed into tree while driving on Route 287 in Morris County on Monday, March 11, authorities said. At 2:45 p.m., the 18-year-old was traveling southbound in a Ford on Route 287 in Harding Township when he lost directional control, veered off the roadway right and crashed into a tree, Troy McNair, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police, said.  The driver was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries, McNair said. The crash remains under investigation, McNair said.

Philip Curry told Daily Voice. The woman was taken to Morristown Medical Center for treatment of injuries deemed non-life-threatening, Curry said. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
