Carbon Monoxide Kills Pair In South Jersey: Report
Two people in South Jersey were found dead of what authorities believe was carbon monoxide poisoning on Tuesday, Dec. 13, NJ Advance Media reports. The bodies were apparently found in a home on Monroe Street in Paulsboro. An official cause of death awaits completion of an investigation by the medical examiner’s office, the outlet said, quoting Tom Gilbert, chief of detectives with the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office. Shooter In Murder-Suicide Was Retired Atlantic City Police Officer
The man who shot and killed his ex-girlfriend before killing himself was a retired Atlantic City police officer, authorities confirmed. William Beattie, 47, retired from the police force on Feb. 1, 2010, according to public records. Police were called to Ogden Road in Deptford at 6:50 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28. An Atlantic County man killed himself after fatally shooting his Gloucester County girlfriend, authorities said. Police were called to Ogden Road in Deptford at 6:50 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28.
