Hackensack Rooming House Resident Slashed In Face With Box Cutter, Arrest Made
A man was jailed after slashing a fellow resident’s face with a box cutter during an argument at a Hackensack rooming house, authorities said. Arlando T. McCoy, a 51-year-old manager of a local Walgreens, fled the Euclid Avenue home early Sunday evening but was nabbed by police a few block away, said Capt. Darrin DeWitt, the officer in charge of the department. “He still had the box cutter,” DeWitt said. Hackensack Woman Sexually Assaulted In Broad Daylight, Suspect From Yonkers Nabbed
A Hackensack woman was sexually assaulted in broad daylight on a city street by a Yonkers man who was tracked down and captured a short time later, authorities said. Hackensack police who responded to Euclid Avenue found the 41-year-old victim on the ground with blood on her arms, hands and legs shortly after 9 a.m. Saturday, said Capt. Cooking Accident Sends Hackensack Woman To Hospital
A Hackensack woman was hospitalized Thursday after a pressure cooker exploded, responders said. The 60-something victim was alert and talking with city firefighters and paramedics after the morning mishap on Euclid Avenue, they said. She was taken by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center with with burns on her hands and face that weren't considered life-threatening.

Unmarked Police Car Involved In Hackensack Crash
An unmarked police car collided with a sedan at a busy Hackensack intersection late Friday morning. The sedan driver blew the stop sign at Euclid Avenue, pulling directly into the path of the unmarked Hackensack city police car, which was headed south on Main Street with its lights activated in response to an emergency call, shortly before 11 a.m., responders told Daily Voice.
