24K Wildwood Residents Without Power
A two-alarm fire at an electric plant substation in Wildwood knocked out power to 24,000 homes and businesses throughout the island on Friday, July 7, authorities said.
UPDATE: 8K Wildwood Residents Still Without Power, Here's When It's Expected To Be Restored
As of 5 p.m., power had been restored for 1,800 Atlantic City Electric customers. An additional 15,000 were expected to have power later this evening, while some will remain in the dark until Saturday, July 8, the company said.
