Shell To Close 1,000 Gas Stations: Here's Why, Company Says
One of the nation's major oil companies says it will close 1,000 gas stations. Shell made the announcement in its 2024 Energy Transition Strategy report, saying the measure is “in response to customer needs” and aimed at reallocating those resources towards EV charging stations. Electric Car Fire At New Hackensack Apartment Complex Takes 7 Hours To Douse
A Hackensack firefighter was injured in an electric car blaze that took nearly seven hours to fully douse in the parking garage of a new apartment complex, authorities said. The firefighter was released after being treated at Hackensack University Medical Center for an undisclosed injury sustained at The Walcott, which opened a year ago on Main Street. All New Cars Must Be Electric Come 2035 In New Jersey: Murphy
New cars in New Jersey will look a little different in 2035. Gov. Phil Murphy announced that by 2035 all new vehicle sales in New Jersey will be zero-emission vehicles (ZEV), with the transition beginning in 2027. Advanced Clean Cars II, which takes effect on Dec. 18, requires manufacturers of passenger cars and light-duty trucks to meet an annual ZEV requirement intended to increase the percentage of electric vehicles sold in the state. Many automakers are removing AM radios from their new electrical vehicles. Some New Jersey congressmen want to change that. Rep.
