Victim Airlifted In Hunterdon County Crash: Authorities
A crash between a car and a truck in Hunterdon County led to a person being airlifted to a hospital on the afternoon of Monday, March 25, authorities said. At 4:17 p.m., first responders were dispatched to Route 202 and Wertsville Road in East Amwell for a crash between a car and a tractor trailer, the City of Lambertville Fire District said. The injured victim was removed from the vehicle without extrication, firefighters said. Hunterdon County Corrections Officer Sexually Assaulted Child For Years: Prosecutor
A Hunterdon County corrections officer has been accused of sexually assaulting a child for several years, authorities said on Thursday, March 30. Jared Green, 35, of Pohatcong Township, was charged with five counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, three counts of second-degree sexual assault, four counts of second-degree child endangerment, and two counts of criminal sexual contact, Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renée M. NJ State Police are seeking the public's help in locating a missing Hunterdon County man. Steven Reside, 38, of East Amwell, was last seen on Tuesday, March 29, leaving his home in a 2011 silver Ford Focus with New Jersey license plate: M97LKA, state police said. A New Jersey teacher and athletic coach was arrested for sexually assaulting a teen student, and another school employee was charged with knowing about it -- but not doing anything to stop it, authorities said. State Troopers Rescue Fallen Hunterdon County Woman With Dementia, 71, Trapped In Bushes
State troopers in Hunterdon County came to the rescue of a 71-year-old woman with dementia who got lost and trapped in a patch of bushes while wandering in the woods earlier this week. The woman’s daughter contacted Kingwood Station troopers shortly before 9:25 p.m. Tuesday with reports that her mother had walked away from her East Amwell home and had not yet returned. The woman was located in a nearby patch of woods with an aerial search before troopers approached her on foot and untangled her from a thick brush that she had fallen and become trapped in, authorities said.
