Human Corpse Ejected From Transport Van, Horse In Trailer OK In Multi-Vehicle Crash On Route 17
You had to see it to believe it, witnesses said: A corpse being taken from a hospital to a funeral home fell out the back of a transport vehicle in a multi-vehicle crash involving a horse trailer on Route 17 in Paramus. Three people were hospitalized, none with serious injuries, in the five-vehicle pileup on the highway's southbound side near the exit for Route 4 around 3:45 p.m. Friday, March 25, Paramus Police Kenneth Ehrenberg said from the scene. UPDATE: The woman has been found safe and unharmed. ORIGINAL STORY: Authorities are seeking the public's help locating a woman who they say was last seen at Newark Penn Station. Magdalena Diaz was last seen by her mom at the New Jersey train station on March 21 at 1:15 p.m., according to NJ Transit officials. A driver was OK after her sedan barreled into a Glen Rock storefront. The 2010 Subaru Legacy plowed into the downtown Heidt Agency insurance office on Rock Road just off Glen Avenue shortly after 11 a.m. Friday, March 11. The man who landed on a BMW in a 9-story fall from a Jersey City highrise in October 2021 has been released from the hospital, officials said. Fire Damages Saddle Brook Home
A fire called in by a dogwalker damaged a vacant home being renovated in Saddle Brook. Firefighters quickly knocked down the Hayes Drive blaze, which apparently broke out in the basement around 10:30 p.m. Saturday. They had it doused within 20 minutes. A medical helicopter heading to Philadelphia from Maryland crashed Tuesday in Delaware County, according to sources and developing news reports. A mom and baby were among the four occupants onboard the Eurocopter EC135 that crashed outside of the Drexel Hill United Methodist Church on Burmont Road near School Lane around at 12:55 p.m., according to the FAA and Daily Voice sources. A female passenger was hospitalized after Ridgewood firefighters extricated her from a minivan that collided with a Honda Civic sedan Sunday night. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage and had to be towed following the crash at Franklin Avenue and North Walnut Street shortly before 9 o'clock. Charges will not be filed against a Clifton police officer involved in a police chase that killed a 20-year-old Wyckoff motorcyclist in a 2019 pursuit, according to the New Jersey Attorney General's Office. Officer John Ferraro attempted to pull over two motorcyclists after he suspected they were riding on stolen bikes around 1:50 a.m. June 17, 2019, authorities said.
