Civilian Struck, Killed By Commuter Train In Fair Lawn
A 66-year-old man was struck and killed by a commuter train Thursday night in Fair Lawn. The man was struck by an NJ Transit train just off Fair Lawn Avenue across from the Radburn station platform shortly before 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31. Witnesses said it appeared he ran in front of the express train, which didn't have a stop there. It wasn't immediately clear whether he was trying to get to the other side or not, they said. Pickup Truck Hauling Trailer Strikes SUV, Flees On Route 78: State Police
An SUV was struck by a pickup truck hauling a trailer in a late-night hit-and-run on Route 78 on Monday, August 28, state police said. The SUV was hit from behind by a pickup truck with a trailer that fled the scene just after midnight on the eastbound side near milepost 20.4 in Lebanon Borough, NJSP SFC Philip Curry told Daily Voice. No injuries were reported, and the truck has not been identified, Curry added.
