A Warren County man previously arrested for theft is facing charges once again, this time for burglarizing the home of somebody he knew, threatening them for more money over Instagram, and returning hours later to make a second burglary attempt, authorities said.
Rory Molnar, 37, of the 200 block of Harvard Drive in Hackettstown, is accused of forcing his way into the front door of the home of the sleeping victim, whom he knew, before demanding money and leaving around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 9, Warren County Prosecutor James L. A 50-year-old woman shattered her ex-roommate’s window and made off with several items before being busted for felony burglary, authorities in the Slate Belt said.
Officers responded to a burglary report at 908 Bangor Rd. in Plainfield Township just after 1:40 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 24, Slate Belt Regional Police said.
Upon arrival, officers met with the female resident and allegedly saw a broken window, as well as clothing, shoes, and several other items missing.

A 39-year-old Morris County man was found hiding out in a garage loft after breaking into a local home, authorities said.
Officers responded to a report of a suspicious male that entered a home on George Cobb Lane in Lincoln Park around 5:40 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, police said in a release on Monday, July 11.
A follow-up investigation and search of the area led to the discovery of Bazyt M. Bergus Jr., who was found hiding in a garage loft with property that had been stolen from the home, police said.

Warren County Man, 32, Accused Of Burglary, Stalking, Police Say
A Warren County man was jailed on accusations of burglary, stalking and harassment, police said Tuesday.
John Hargreaves, 32, was taken into custody June 18 — about 24 hours after police say he broke into a home at Shakespeare Estates in Independence Township.
Hargreaves, of Belvidere, was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, stalking and harassment, township police said.
He was being held at the Warren County Jail pending an initial appearance in court.
