Sussex County Man Airlifted After ATV Crash:

A 21-year-old Sussex County man had to be airlifted to a hospital after an ATV crash on the evening of Saturday, Oct. 19, authorities said. At 10:57 p.m., police responded to a property on East Shore Culver Road in Frankford Township after a Honda Fortrax ATV entered the roadway, lost directional control and the driver fell from the vehicle, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The driver, a Branchville resident, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to an area hospital, LeBron said. The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.

Thousands of New Jersey residents woke up Monday morning, Aug. 19 without power due to Sunday's storm. And according to the National Weather Service, more stormy weather could be on the way for later in the day. Two Allentown, PA men were arrested on Tuesday, Aug. 13, after robbing people at a motel at gunpoint in Sussex County last week, authorities said. Two pets died in a Sussex County house fire in which an off-duty trooper and firefighter was the first to respond, officials said. Reports of a fire came from a neighbor on on Saddleback Road in Stillwater around 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 22, fire officials said. A 19-year-old woman was killed and two others were hurt after a deer caused a crash on Route 94 in Sussex County Sunday night, state police said.
