Armed PA Felon Who Hid From Cops In Dump Truck Heads Back To Prison: Sussex County Prosecutor
An armed PA felon who had been out of jail for less than a week and hid in a dump truck in an attempt to avoid police is back behind bars, authorities said. Travon Johnson, 21, of Easton, was sentenced to 7 1/2 years in state prison with a mandatory period of parole ineligibility of 5 years and a credit for 574 days jail already served, Acting Sussex County Prosecutor Annmarie Taggart announced. Motorcyclist Flown To Hospital Following Sussex County Crash
A motorcyclist was flown to a nearby hospital following a serious crash in Sussex County, authorities said. The Lakeland Emergency Squad responded to the crash off of Route 517 in Andover late afternoon on Sunday, April 24, the department said. : Lockdown Lifted At North Jersey Hospital
A North Jersey hospital placed on lockdown Monday morning has been reopened and deemed safe, police said. Police requested a temporary lockdown of Newton Medical Center after receiving a report that a possible tenant of 183 High St. may have been seen entering the building carrying a suspected shotgun around 8:25 a.m., Chief Robert Osborn Jr. told Daily Voice. The tenant and weapon were found in a suite at 183 High St. and determined not to be a threat to the public, Osborn said. Police: NY Man Jailed For Wielding BB Gun, Fleeing During Dispute With Sussex County Landscaper
A 31-year-old man has been jailed after wielding a BB gun during an alleged dispute with a Sussex County landscaper. David A. G. Martin of Peekskill, NY is accused of brandishing PSM45 BB handgun during an argument over payment at a landscaping business off Limecrest Road around 3 p.m. Wednesday, Andover Township Police said. Martin then drove away, heading toward Newton-Sparta road in a red Ford F150, police said.
