Man Seriously Injured After Crash On Route 287: Njsp A man suffered serious injuries following a collision on Route 287 in Somerset County on the afternoon of Friday, Oct. 18. At 5:18 p.m., a Ford pickup truck was traveling northbound on Route 287 in Bridgewater Township when it veered off the roadway to the right, struck the guardrail and then crossed into another lane, and hit another guardrail, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The driver, a 66-year-old Lake Hopatcong resident sustained serious injuries, Lebron said. The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.

Driver, 62, Killed Negotiating Curve On Garden State Parkway Exit Ramp: Police A 62-year-old driver was killed in a crash on the Garden State Parkway in Atlantic County this weekend, authorities said. Troy E. Thompson, of Brick Township, was heading south in a Hyundai Tucson when he veered off the roadway to the left while negotiating a curve exiting via the 38A exit ramp Saturday morning, Sept. 21 around 9:30 a.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. The vehicle overturned and Thompson died. The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information was available.
