A crash on Route 287 left a vehicle overturned and debris scattered across the highway, causing morning traffic disruptions on Wednesday, Dec. 11, authorities said. Troopers responded to the scene at milepost 55.4 around 10:03 a.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. Two Separate Crashes Close Portions Of Route 80
Two separate crashes closed multiple lanes of Route 80 during rush hour Tuesday evening, Nov. 4. One crash took out two right lanes on the westbound side around 4:50 east of Exit 56 in West Paterson, the DOT site shows. The other happened around the same time in the eastbound lanes west of Exit 52 in Fairfield. Two right lanes were also closed. Both crashes caused a delay of approximately 10 minutes.

Would-Be Jumper Hospitalized After Closing Lanes Of George Washington Bridge (

A would-be George Washington Bridge jumper was hospitalized Tuesday night, Sept. 24, after bringing traffic along the bridge to a halt, authorities said. A spokesperson for the Port Authority Police Department confirmed the investigation but not have any further information as of 7:40 p.m. Wednesday morning, a spokesperson said that the incident was reported at 5:42 p.m. near the 179th Street ramp in the westbound lanes. All lanes along the ramp were closed. The man was removed and taken to a local hospital, the PAPD said. Traffic resumed at 7:24 p.m.

Morning rush hour traffic appeared to be moving smoothly on the Garden State Parkway after buckled pavement caused major delays in Toms River. A pavement heave was found on the southbound side near milepost 82.7, the parkway said on Twitter at 5:47 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2. Emergency repairs forced the right lane to close, causing significant delays during a busy Fourth of July holiday travel week. Service to NJ Transit and Amtrak trains was disrupted for the second time this week on Thursday, June 20 due to both power issues and brush fires along the NJ Turnpike, officials said. Amtrak service between Philadelphia and New Haven had been suspended while NJ Transit service in and out of NY Penn Station was also suspended, due to power issues on the Amtrak line, NJ Transit said.
