Cops ID Shoplifting Suspects Found After Crash, Hiding In Freezing Paramus Water
Two shoplifting suspects who fled from Target in Bergen Town Center on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025, were caught by Paramus Police—one after crashing into a tree and the other while attempting to hide submerged in a brook, authorities said.
Just before noon, Paramus police responded to a reported theft at Target, according to Paramus Police Chief Robert M. Guidetti. The suspects, later identified as Tuwana Grant-Harrison, 32, and Christopher White, 47, both of Paterson, fled the scene in a black Nissan Murano before police arrived, he said.

The two Tennessee teens who fired at Pennsylvania State Troopers during a multi-state crime spree have been captured in Hartford, Connecticut, authorities announced.
Jeremiah Begley, 17, and Christian Guerrero Jr., 17, were taken into custody on Thursday, Feb. 27, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service, Hartford Police, and the PSP Fugitive Apprehension Unit, state police said. They are being held in Connecticut while awaiting extradition to Dauphin County, PA.

At 10:19 a.m., a New Jersey State Trooper began following an SUV on Route 80 eastbound and initiated a traffic stop, the Warren County Prosecutor's Office said.
