Gunman Charged In Deadly Shootout Held In Bergen County Jail Pending Trial: Prosecutors An arrest has been made in a shootout that left one man dead over the weekend. Uvaldo Mora, 28, is accused of exchanging gunfire with the 33-year-old man at Straight Street and Park Avenue around 11:15 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said. The 33-year-old man was struck in the head and throughout his torso, and died at the hospital.  Meanwhile, Mora was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Certain Persons Not to Possess a Weapon. A woman reported the alleged incident on June 17, 2023, saying she was sexually assaulted near 10th Avenue and East 26th Street the day prior, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said.
