Patty Alarcon Cinardo, Formerly Of Harrison Dies, 39 Patricia "Patty" Alarcon Cinardo died on Tuesday, Sept. 10, according to her obituary on the Nazare Memorial website. She was 39 years old. Born in Ecuador, Patty came to the United States at 9 years old with her family and lived in Brooklyn, then Kearny and Harrison, her obituary says. She most recently lived in North Arlington, having married her husband, Nicholas, in 2023. Patty's Facebook page shows she studied math at Hunter College. Motorcyclist Killed After Being Ejected, Run Over In Route 280 Crash In Kearny: Police (Update) A 52-year-old motorcyclist was killed in an early-morning crash on Route 280 in Hudson County, police said. Kyle Silas, of Orange, was heading west on a Fly Wing electric motorcycle when he struck a Ford sedan near milepost 16 in Kearny around 4:35 a.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. Silas was ejected then run over by a Dodge, Lebron said. He died as a result of the accident.

Pedestrian Survives Train Strike In Harrison, NJ Transit Says A pedestrian was truck by a train in Harrison on the early morning of Sunday, Aug. 18, authorities said. At 12:50 a.m., Morris and Essex train 6907 struck the pedestrian just east of Broad Street Station, NJ Transit said. The train had departed New York Penn Station at 12:34 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Dover at 2:13 a.m., NJ Transit said. The pedestrian was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, NJ Transit said. An investigation is ongoing, NJ Transit said.

22-Year-Old Newark Woman Killed In Route 280 Crash In Harrison A 22-year-old Newark driver was killed in a crash on Route 280 in Harrison early Saturday morning, July 27, New Jersey State Police said. According to NJSP Sgt. Charles Marchan, Kaylee Mendez was heading east when she ran off the road to the right and struck a guardrail around 1:25 a.m. She was ejected from the vehicle and killed. The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information is available.
