Nine families were displaced and one person was injured in a three-alarm fire that ripped through Newark rowhomes Tuesday evening, Oct. 15, police said, The fire broke out in a vacant residential building at 71 Montgomery Street and spread to multiple other homes around 5 p.m., Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. Police have provided an update in the evacuation of the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford Tuesday evening, Oct. 8. Just after 5:30 p.m., American Dream security saw a Tesla legally parked on the ground level of the C parking deck with the driver’s side door left open and unattended, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Car Crashes Into Building In Summit: Authorities
A car crashed into a townhouse in Summit on the morning of Wednesday, Sept. 25, authorities said. Firefighters and police responded to the scene at Norwood Avenue at 9:43 a.m., a spokesperson for the City of Summit said in a release. Upon arrival, crews discovered that a resident’s vehicle had crashed through an internal wall in the garage, causing mild structural damage, authorities said. A three-alarm fire in East Orange caused 11 people to be evacuated on the afternoon of Saturday, Sept. 7, authorities said. Firefighters responded to 291 Glenwood Ave. at 4:30 p.m. and the fire escalated to three alarms, necessitating additional firefighters to the scene, a spokesperson for the City of East Orange said. A Linden man was killed when his tractor-trailer crashed and exploded in Clifton, authorities said. The truck crashed into a barrier and caught fire on Route 3 West near Valley Road and Grove Street at around 9:07 a.m. on Monday, July 22, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia Valdes said in a news release. Bomb Threat By Employee's Ex Clears Teterboro Walmart
A threatening comment from the ex-husband of a store associate cleared the Teterboro Walmart on Tuesday, authorities said. The man had called the Teterboro Landing Walmart shortly before noon June 11, Moonachie Police Lt. Jeff Napolitano said.
