The event, which was hosted by Building America's Future, was scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. at the Drexelbrook Catering in Drexel Hill as part of Trump's "America's Future Tour."
Trump spoke at the roundtable before holding a rally in Allentown's PPL Center, 701 Hamilton Street, at 7 p.m., as reported by Daily Voice.
Among those in attendance at the roundtable was retired Upper Darby Police Lt. Donald Clark, who was asked if he'd go back into the police force knowing the challenges that officers now face, and how difficult it is to live on retirement income.
Clark said he would not want to go back to work on the street again, citing burnout, the inability to retain and recruit officers due to the lack of respect and hatred prevalent in big cities. Clark also cited a lack of support from the administration, budget cuts, and leniency/softness on crime from district attorneys.
Also in attendance was Dr. Maribel Valdez, a Puerto Rican-born doctor who came to the U.S. at 17. Worked as an occupational therapist for 40 years working with elderly and was a Medicare and Medicaid provider.
Valdez was asked to speak to her experience working with the 1-800-Medicare hotline as a customer.
But before she did, she told the former president: "I want you to know that Puerto Rico stands behind you and Puerto Rico loves you."
Trump replied: "No president has done more for Puerto Rico than I have."
Valdez went on to say her experience has been very positive, citing short wait times and helpful employees.
When asked how she would feel if knowing that the Biden-Harris administration was seeking to end "as we know it this exceptional customer service that you love," she said, "I wouldn't know what to do."
Valdez said she retired after suffering a stroke but does work part-time.
