Careless Driver Cited After Fatally Striking Crossing Guard: Hunterdon County Prosecutor A 57-year-old Glen Gardner man was issued a summons on Thursday, Jan. 2 for careless driving after fatally striking a crossing guard in High Bridge in November, authorities said. On Wednesday, Nov. 27, Steven Leydon failed to yield and fatally struck Robert Bork, a 79-year-old High Bridge resident on County Road 513, Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renée Robeson, Chief of Detectives Timothy Drew, and High Bridge Police Chief Brett Bartman said. School Bus Crash Leaves 10 Kids, 1 Adult Injured In Glen Gardner: Police Ten children and one adult were injured in a school bus crash Sunday, Aug. 25 in Hunterdon County, New Jersey State Police said. The bus was heading south on State Highway 31 in Glen Gardner, when the driver lost control at milepost 37.5 around 3:10 p.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. The bus hit a mailbox and ended up in a ditch, leaving the 10 children and one adult with minor injuries, Lebron said. The crash investigation remains ongoing.
