Man Struck By Dump Truck While In Roadway On Route 80: Njsp

A 23-year-old Iselin man was injured after he was struck by a dump truck on Route 80 on Friday, March 21, authorities said.

At 4:20 p.m., a Hyundai Elantra collided with a Honda Civic on Route 80 East in Parsippany, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for New Jersey State Police said. The driver of the Honda exited his vehicle and remained in the roadway, Lebron said.

A Peterbilt dump truck traveling east on Route 80 crashed into the man and the Honda, Lebron said. The man sustained serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital, Lebron said.

The driver of the Hyundai sustained moderate injuries and was also transported to an area hospital, Lebron said. The crash remains under investigation,.
