Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón has recommended brothers Lyle and Erik Menendez, who spent their childhoods in New Jersey and New York, be resentenced after spending decades in prison for the shotgun murder of their parents in their Beverly Hills mansion. A Princeton University professor has received a Nobel Prize for his groundbreaking research that helped in the development of artificial intelligence. John Hopfield was awarded the Nobel Prize in physics on Tuesday, Oct. 8, the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences said.
