Realtor Michael Kravchak Killed In South Jersey Crash
A prominent New Jersey realtor was killed in a crash Thursday, Sept. 5, authorities said. Michael Kravchak, 47, of Egg Harbor City, died in the wreck on Thursday, Sept. 5, the Mansfield Township Police Department said in a news release. Officers responded to the crash on Route 206 North near the intersection with Route 68 at around 11:03 a.m. Investigators said Kravchak's vehicle hit a traffic light pole. Barbed Fish Injures Jersey Shore Swimmer: Beach Patrol
A man was injured by what appeared to be a ray's tail at a beach in Ventnor City, officials said. The man suffered a hand injury at around 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 25, the Ventnor City Beach Patrol said. He received first-aid treatment at the scene. The injury was not confirmed to be from a shark bite and was likely caused by a skate, which is a type of ray with barbs on its tail. Jersey Shore Boardwalks Get $100M For 'Vital' Upgrades
Jersey Shore communities are getting $100 million in state grants to make crucial repairs to their boardwalk, officials said. The Boardwalk Preservation Fund money will go to 18 municipalities in Atlantic, Cape May, Middlesex, Monmouth, and Ocean counties, Gov. Phil Murphy announced on Friday, Feb. 23. A man believed responsible for graffiti throughout Atlantic City and Ventnor City has been arrested, authorities said. Steve Araujo, 40, of Ventnor City was arrested and charged with criminal mischief on Dec. 4, Atlantic City police said. Man Allegedly Stabbed Atlantic City Store Clerk During Robbery: Police
A 42-year-old man from Ventnor City was arrested for armed robbery after stealing from a store and stabbing an employee, authorities said. At 8:48 a.m., Tuesday, April 4, Atlantic City Police Officers Moustafa Maarouf and James Eckert were called to a convenience store in the 400 block of north Tennessee Avenue for a stabbing. Kayleigh Ann Cocozza of Ventnor City died on Feb. 3, 2023 in Atlantic City, her obituary says. She was 34 years old. A 55-year-old man from Atlantic County has been arrested for luring/enticing after seeking to have sex with a boy, authorities said. Joseph M. Manzoni, of Ventnor City, was charged on June 22 after a monthlong investigation, according to Ventnor City Police. Five suspects have been arrested on various drug charges following complaints from residents about illegal sales in their neighborhood, authorities said. Detectives with the Special Investigations Section conducted a surveillance operation near South Carolina and Baltic avenues on Wednesday morning, Atlantic City police said.
