Trenton Bicyclist Convicted Of Robbing South Jersey Bank: Prosecutor
A 58-year-old man from Trenton has been convicted in a jury trial of robbing a Bordentown City bank of nearly $7,000, authorities said. George T. Rodgers was found guilty on Tuesday, March 29 of one count of second-degree robbery, Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina said. Superior Court Judge Gerard H. Breland, scheduled sentencing for May 27. Rodgers has been held in the Burlington County Jail in Mount Holly since being taken into custody just hours after holding up the bank. NJ Man Known As 'Wild Willie' Sentenced For Shooting Neighbor's Dog In Head
A 65-year-old New Jersey man known as "Wild Willie" was sentenced to five years in state prison for shooting his neighbor's poodle in the head, ultimately killing the animal, authorities said. William D. Stroemel had his sentence handed down by Superior Court Judge Gerard H. Breland as the result of a negotiated plea deal, Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina said. South Jersey Man Gets 8 Years In State Prison For Dumping Overdose Victim's Body
A 55-year-old man from Camden County has been sentenced to eight years in state prison for dumping a fatal overdose victim's body on a Burlington County roadside, authorities said. Daniel Waterfield of Lawnside was found guilty of desecrating human remains, during a March jury trial. He was sentenced on Monday.
