A 92-year-old Edgewater man was presumed drowned after a ferry captain found his walker, wallet and other belongings on a Hudson River pier just south of the George Washington Bridge.
The New York Waterway captain summoned borough police after finding the resident’s items, which also included a jacket, gloves, a hat and keys, on the pier at the Edgewater Marina on River Road shortly before 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, Chief Donald Martin said.

A cause of death has been released for a Pennsylvania inmate who was found dead in his cell on Tuesday, March 1, LevittownNow reports.
Edwin Dunfee, 46, of Philadelphia, died by suicide at the Bucks County Correctional Facility, the outlet reports citing the county's coroner. The method of death appeared to be from hanging, Coroner Meredith Buck told the outlet.

Feral dogs and rodents reportedly snacked on Brian Laundrie's remains found in a Florida environmental preserve, according to a 47-page report by a medical examiner detailing new chilling aspects of the discovery.
The report, released Monday, Feb. 14, by District Twelve Medical Examiner in Sarasota, Florida, revealed that Laundrie — who admittedly killed fellow Long Island native Gabby Petito – shot himself in the left side of the head and his body was then partially eaten by animals, including feral dogs.

UPDATE: A contract nurse who fled after authorities said he set a 54-year-old colleague at Hackensack University Medical Center on fire was found dead of suicide in South Jersey, authorities said.
The body of Nicholas Pagano, 31, of West Deptford was found in a wooded area of Waterford Township, in Camden County, a two-hour drive of more than 100 miles from Hackensack, early Tuesday, Feb. 8, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.
