There's More To NJ Than Congestion, Says Local Comic Bringing Standup To 'AGT'
Award-winning broadcaster, international comedian, and Garden State native Maureen Langan is bringing her standup skills to America’s Got Talent next week.
Langan, who grew up in Lake Hiawatha, found her spot on the comedy stage after more than seven years at Bloomberg broadcasting all sorts of commentary, celebrity interviews, satirical world news, and person-on-the-street interviews.
She lives in Manhattan and says the Garden State holds a special place in her heart.

Winning NJ Mega Millions Lottery Ticket Worth $10K Sold At BP
There was one third-tier prizewinning ticket sold for the Friday, June 9, Mega Millions drawing.
The ticket matched four of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball drawn winning the $10,000 prize.
The ticket was purchased at Spring Lake BP, 2004 State Highway 35, Spring Lake in Monmouth County.
The winning numbers for the Friday, June 9, drawing were: 03, 19, 53, 60 and 68. The Gold Mega Ball was 13, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 03.
Authorities ID Woman, 93, Killed In House Fire On Jersey Shore
Authorities have identified the woman killed in a house fire in Belmar on Wednesday, March 15, authorities said.
Frances Colie, 93, was pronounced dead at the scene of the fire, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.
The fire broke out at about 4 p.m. on the 1700 block of Surf Avenue.
There has been no indication of any foul play being involved, the prosecutor's office said.
An investigation into the cause and origin of the fire, involving members of the Prosecutor’s Office and the Monmouth County Fire Marshal’s Office, is ongoing.

Beloved Jersey Shore Native, College Grad Dies After Battling Asbestos-Related Cancer, 27
Beloved Jersey Shore artist, athlete, and Marine Academy graduate Hanna Elizabeth Wilt died Monday, Feb. 14 after a years-long battle with Peritoneal Mesothelioma caused by asbestos exposure. She was 27.
Born in Spring Lake, Wilt graduated from the Marine Academy of Science and Technology, her obituary says.
Wilt then went on to attend Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Georgia, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree.
Wilt had most recently worked as a CrossFit trainer and an assistant at a ceramics studio.

AG: Jersey Shore Postal Workers, Ex-Con Caught With 2 Kilos Of Deadly Fentanyl, Heroin, 54 Guns
Two Jersey Shore postal workers and an ex-con paroled less than a month ago were caught with nearly 4½ pounds of fentanyl and heroin – worth nearly $3 million on the street -- as well as dozens of guns, authorities said.
Detectives were watching as ex-con Andre Sulimenko, 56, of Barnegat, pulled his Subaru into the driveway of a Jackson home earlier this month, state Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal said.
The homeowner, U.S. Postal Service employee William Woolley, emerged and approached the vehicle, then handed Sulimenko a kilo of fentanyl in a bag, he said.

Updated: More Jersey Shore Beaches, Boardwalks Close Amid Coronavirus Fears
UPDATE: Asbury Park, Bradley, Island Heights, Ocean City, Sea Girt and Spring Lake are closing down their boardwalks to stop the spread of coronavirus.
Bay Head, Brick, Island Heights, Lavellette, Mantoloking, Ocean Heights, Point Pleasant and Sandy Hook closed their beaches, joining Seaside Heights. The boardwalk in Seaside Heights remains open -- for now.
