Ex-Mercer County School District Worker Stole Over $95K Using Bogus Purchase Orders: Prosecutor
A former purchasing agent for a Mercer County public school district was charged after stealing more than $95,000 worth of property with bogus purchase orders, authorities said.
April Taylor, 58, was charged with two counts of official misconduct, pattern of official misconduct, theft by deception, theft by unlawful taking, and impersonation — all second-degree offenses — as well as second- and third-degree financial facilitation of criminal activity, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said in a release with local officials on Thursday, Oct. 6.

Feds, Njsp Bust South Carolina-To-Paterson Gun-Running Ring
New Jersey State Police seized nine firearms that were headed to Paterson from South Carolina, leading to the arrests of six accused gun runners.
Four defendants were in a vehicle stopped by State Police on Sept. 26, Acting U.S. Attorney for New Jersey Rachael A. Honig said.
Two of them -- ex-con Kendell McFadden, 28, and Laronmir MdFadden, 27, of Florence, South Carolina -- led the ring, a subsequent investigation involving the ATF found, she said.

Grand Jury Indictment Returned In 1999 South Jersey Rape, Attempted Murder, Prosecutor Says
A Camden County grand jury has returned an indictment in a decades-old rape, robbery and attempted murder case, authorities said.
The "cold case" remained unsolved until last year, according to acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Somerdale Police Chief James J. Walsh.
