High School Locked Down In Central Jersey South Brunswick High School had a "shelter-in-place" on Thursday, Dec. 22 after an unauthorized student from another school district entered the building, authorities said. Police said the unauthorized student was looking for a fight with a South Brunswick student at about 7:55 a.m. School administrations in conjunction with the School Resource Officer placed the school in shelter-in-place while they attempted to locate the trespasser, police said. South Brunswick High School Evacuated Due To Chemical Smell: Police South Brunswick High School was evacuated Friday afternoon due to a chemical smell, authorities said. Police, firefighters and EMS crews were at the scene. The incident occurred at about 12:45 p.m. on March 11 at the high school at  Ridge Road and Stouts Lane, initial reports said. No one was reported hurt.  It was not immediately clear where the chemical smell originated. There was an unconfirmed report that the smell came from a pepper spray.
