Winners: NJ Lottery Tickets Totaling $100K Sold In North Jersey
Four lucky New Jersey lottery players won third-tier prizes worth $10,000 to $40,000 on Friday, state officials said.
The winning numbers for the Feb. 5 drawing were: 14, 17, 28, 29, and 44. The Gold Mega Ball was 02, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 04.
All four winning tickets, sold in Essex, Union and Somerset counties, matched four of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball drawn winning the $10,000 prize.
Even luckier, two of those tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying their prizes to $40,000.

A former New Brunswick Water Department meter reader who took payoffs to help reduce customers’ water bills by as much as 90% was sentenced Friday to five years in state prison.
Guillermo Quinones, 51, of Somerset joins two former co-workers who also got five-year state prison terms: Joseph DeBonis, a 58-year-old former senior account clerk from Toms River, and William Ortiz, 59, of North Brunswick, a former meter reader.
Their scheme “cost the city hundreds of thousands of dollars,” said Thomas Eicher, director of the state Office of Public Integrity and Accountability.

NJ County Breakdown: 5,600 Residents Without Power 6 Days After Tropical Storm Isaias
Thousands of New Jersey residents were still without power Monday, six days after Tropical Storm Isaias hit the region.
As of 10:30 a.m., there were nearly 5,600 residents in the dark, according to utility company outage maps. Sunday night, there were approximately 20,900 outages across New Jersey, according to Gov. Phil Murphy.
Many residents who had power recently restored were waiting for internet service. Restoration times for those still without power were Monday and Tuesday nights.

Prosecutor: DUI Drivers Arrested In 3-Car Crash That Killed Central Jersey Teenager
Two men have been arrested in connection with a three-car crash that resulted in the death of a 19-year-old woman from Milltown last month, authorities said.
Felicity B. Eden, 19, who was driving one of the cars involved in a chain reaction collision on May 24, was pronounced dead at the scene, Middlesex County Acting Prosecutor Christopher L.C. Kuberiet and North Brunswick Police Director Kenneth P. McCormick said in a statement.
