Emeterio Alavez-Cruz, 33, is accused of attacking the girl in June 2021, according to prior news accounts. Salem County Man Killed In Collision While Exiting Driveway: State Police A Salem County man was killed in a collision with a Land Rover, authorities said. Barry Sofsky, 71, of Pittsgrove, was exiting a driveway on Route 674 (Garden Road) at milepost 1.5 in the township at 3:11 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, when his Chevrolet Malibu was hit by the eastbound SUV, New Jersey State Police said. The driver of the Land Rover sustained minor injuries, State Police said. The roadway was closed for about five hours. The crash remains under investigation.
