A male was fatally struck by a train over the weekend at the Jersey Shore, NJ Transit officials confirmed. The victim, whose identity was not immediately released, was struck by a North Jersey Coast Line train just before stopping in Spring Lake around 3 a.m. Sunday, June 4, NJ Transit spokesman Kyalo Mulumba said. The man was struck by North Jersey Coast Line train 4756 around 5:45 p.m. on Corlies Avenue near the Bradley Beach station, a New Jersey Transit spokesperson said. New Jersey Transit authorities have identified the person struck and killed by a train at a Jersey Shore crossing. Cynthia E. Sussman, 73, of Belmar was struck at 9:19 a.m. Sunday in Spring Lake by a North Jersey Coast line train, according to a NJ Transit spokesman. The train was traveling from Long Branch to Bay Head.
