South Jersey Woman Sentenced In Mom's Brutal Stabbing Death: Prosecutor A 27-year-old woman from Mount Laurel has been sentenced to 30 years in New Jersey State Prison for the stabbing death of her mother, authorities said. Marisa Rivera must serve the entire prison term before becoming eligible for parole, according to Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw. Rivera was convicted in January of first-degree murder and weapons offenses in the death of 56-year-old Denise DeNapoli, who was discovered in the apartment they shared in Ramblewood Village, the prosecutor said. Firefighters Battle Blaze At Elementary School In Burlington County Firefighters and police responded to a fire at a school in Mount Laurel, authorities said. The fire was reported at about 8:45 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22 at Parkway Elementary School on Ramblewood Parkway, according to Mount Laurel police. The school was evacuated and police reported there were no injuries. The fire was quickly brought under control, police said. The cause of the fire, contained to a music and art room, remains under investigation.
