A New Jersey man has claimed a "$1,000 A Week For Life" New York Lottery prize.
Anthony Young, a resident of Lawrence, claimed the CASH4LIFE second prize for matching the first five numbers drawn on Dec. 14, 2021, NY Lottery announced on Friday, Nov. 4.
The second prize guarantees a minimum payout of $1 million, and Young received his prize as a single, lump-sum payment of $651,000 after required withholdings, the lottery said.
NY Lottery said the winning numbers for the drawing were 15 19 23 38 39 Cash Ball 04.

Three women hid more than $8,000 worth of designer fragrances in bags brought with them to the Ulta Beauty store on Nassau Park Boulevard and left without paying on Sunday, July 3, West Windsor Police said.

Several bear sightings have been reported in Mercer County neighborhoods and backyards, authorities said.
A black bear was seen near Lawrenceville Road and Skillman Avenue in Lawrence, according to a post from the township’s Facebook page on Wednesday, July 6.
The bear was entering backyards in the area, the township said, advising residents to bring children and pets indoors.
The following day, a bear was spotted near Rockland Road in Ewing, the town said in a release.

Ex-Convict Indicted In Stabbing Death Of Trenton Girlfriend Over Cellphone Calls
A 34-year-old ex-convict from South Jersey has been indicted in connection with the fatal stabbing of his ex-girlfriend after arguing with her about cellphone calls, authorities said.
A county grand jury returned a five-count indictment charging Irvin Hayes of Lawrence in last summer's death of Shamira Williams, 32, of Trenton, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said.
Hayes was charged with first-degree murder, resisting arrest, obstructing and several weapons charges, Onofti said on Thursday.
