Tractor-Trailer Crashes On NJ Turnpike (Developing) A tractor-trailer crashed on the New Jersey Turnpike near Interstate 195 in Mercer County, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 11 a.m. on Monday, March 11 on the outer roadway southbound near Interchange 7A in Robbinsville, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation. The driver of the Peterbilt tractor-trailer lost directional control, running off the roadway right and into an embankment, according to New Jersey State Police. There were no injuries, State Police said. The crash remains under investigation.

Abbas was riding west near milepost 5.7 in Robbinsville at 8:41 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14 when a Nissan Rogue driven by Shannon B. Monsell, 34, of Ringoes struck his motorcycle from behind, New Jersey State Police said. Abbas, of Perth Amboy, was thrown from the Kawasaki bike and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.  The crash remains under investigation.
