A 59-year old man from Monmouth County has been arrested for inappropriately touching a shopper at a local grocery store, authorities said. Ehab E. Nassif of Howell was charged with fourth-degree criminal sexual contact, Howell police said. A local police officer was justified in shooting a Jersey Shore man who charged at him with a knife at a murder scene while yelling "just kill me!" a grand jury has found. Authorities have released the name of the 20-year-old motorcyclist who died of injuries from a crash at a Central Jersey shopping center. Jonathan T. Giorgi of Howell was killed in the collision Saturday night on an access road at Howell Commons Shopping Plaza, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office said on Monday. A teenage driver was captured with help from a Howell Police Department K9 after trying to flee on foot, authorities said. The 17-year-old boy was spotted driving erratically on Route 9 near Aldrich Road when police tried to stop him about 1:50 a.m. on Monday, Howell police said in a statement. Howell PD: Shoplifters Exposed Police, Customers To Coronavirus
Three men tried to steal more than $2,000 worth of power tools from a Lowe's Home Improvement store and one of them went inside knowing he was infected with coronavirus, authorities said. Four patrol officers and several customers were exposed to COVID-19, Howell police said on Facebook.
