Students Show Up At Wrong Jersey Shore Address Playing 'Dangerous Assassins Game': Police Students at a Jersey Shore high school have been pretending they are assassins as a senior prank, authorities said. But in one case, a "senior assassin" went to the wrong address to shoot another student with a water pistol, according to Holmdel police. Police in other school districts have said the water guns sometimes look like real guns. Also, sometimes students place bets on "surviving" the game. Update: Ocean County Man, 29, Struck, Killed Crossing Route 35 In Central Jersey A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle while crossing Route 35 in Monmouth County on Tuesday evening, authorities said. John Hebeler, 29, of Tuckerton, was hit as he crossed the four-lane highway in Holmdel at about 7:15 p.m., the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office said. Hebeler wasn’t in a crosswalk or near an intersection when he was hit on the southbound side near the Holmdel Motor Inn at 2174 Route 35 where the man had been staying, initial reports said.
