Building Home To Longtime NJ Bakery Listed For $1.3M
The building that's long been home to a family-owned New Jersey bakery is for sale. The building at 15 Haddon Ave., in the Westmont section of Haddon Township — which has long been occupied by McMillan's Bakery — is listed on Loopnet for $1.3 million. There are two apartment units above the bakery. McMillan's first opened in 1939 and has been operated by owner Arlene Biemiller's family, NJ Advance Media reports. Daily Voice has reached out to McMillan's for comment. It is not immediately clear if the bakery itself will be sold or will close.

Unlicensed NJ Flight Instructor Indicted In PA Plane Crash That Killed IT Manager
A 36-year-old New Jersey unlicensed flight instructor who was in two prior crashes has been indicted in a third — a 2022 incident that killed his student pilot in Pennsylvania, authorities announced. A Rotary Club's American flag display — a tribute to local veterans — was vandalized earlier this week in Camden County, 6abc.com reports. A total of five flags of the 100-flag display were burned or torn from their 7-foot-tall poles on Monday, June 24, the outlet said. A supermarket specializing in fresh and healthier food options is opening a new store in Aberdeen, officials said. Sprouts Farmers Market will open its newest location at 327 Highway 35 in Cliffwood on Friday, June 7, the company said in a news release. Haddon's Ronald Aldrich, 56, Fought Long Cancer Battle
Ronald Aldrich, of Haddon Township, died on March 23 after a long battle with cancer, according to an obituary published by Alloway Funeral Home. He was 56 years old. Ronnie worked with his best friend John at Paramount Building Services specializing in mold remediation for 30 years. Ronnie enjoyed sports, especially football, his obit said. Authorities ID Pedestrian Struck, Killed In South Jersey
A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Haddon Township, authorities said. Maria Rios-Reyes, 65, of Haddon Township, was fatally hit on Feb. 11 near East Holly Avenue, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office said. Rios-Reyes founded a local cleaning company, Crystal Cleaning Services, according to an obituary published by Popiolek Funeral Home. “Above all, Cristina will always be remembered for her strong faith and her love of family,” the obit said. Fatal Pedestrian Crash Investigated In Camden County
A pedestrian was killed in Camden County, authorities said. The fatal crash occurred on Sunday, Feb. 11 on East Holly Avenue in Haddon Township, according to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office.
