A driver was killed and two others were hospitalized in a crash on the Garden State Parkway in Tinton Falls, authorities said. Troopers responded to the southbound side of the parkway at around 4:20 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, a state police spokesperson said. Investigators said a Honda Accord and Honda Civic crashed head-on near milepost 102.8. A Volkswagen Jetta hit the back of the Civic, causing the Honda to catch fire. Driver, 62, Killed Negotiating Curve On Garden State Parkway Exit Ramp: Police
A 62-year-old driver was killed in a crash on the Garden State Parkway in Atlantic County this weekend, authorities said. Troy E. Thompson, of Brick Township, was heading south in a Hyundai Tucson when he veered off the roadway to the left while negotiating a curve exiting via the 38A exit ramp Saturday morning, Sept. 21 around 9:30 a.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. The vehicle overturned and Thompson died. The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information was available.

Ten students and their bus driver were uninjured when their school bus burst into flames on the Garden State Parkway in Cape May County Wednesday, April 17, firefighters said.
