Beloved Jersey Shore native and marine academy graduate Molly J. Lada died in Santa Barbara, California, on Thursday, Oct. 27. She was 19.
Born in Brick Township, Molly grew up in Point Pleasant, her obituary says.

Eight people have been charged including a 14-year-old girl and at least one family member in the kidnapping, beating and killing of a 19-year-old man with autism, authorities said.
Hayden Robert Garreffa, of Dilltown, PA, was found dead by state troopers in a wooded area of Brush Valley Township on Saturday, Oct. 22 around 4 a.m., according to a state police briefing on Tuesday, Oct. 25. Shawn Reilly, of Thornhurst, was on vacation with his wife, Nicole, and their 21-year-old son when he was pulled under by strong currents on Thursday, Sept. 8, DailyVoice.com reported.
